Dr E Alana James is reinventing herself again! Coming full circle to the first love of her life - art - and bringing back to her images all the lessons of her life as author, researcher, academic and wife. Concerned mostly with the idea of images as vehicles for expression of the truth of our inner and outer life experience.

I believe that all people search for happiness, and that when we use the power of our minds we can come to greatness, however we personally define that. I value inclusiveness, education and research. Inclusiveness because every person is part of this puzzle that we call life on this planet, and just like we would not leave proposal piece out of a jigsaw puzzle we must not lead any other person’s opinion or believes out of the puzzle that we fail. If we do it will fall apart, or erupt in our faces.

I value education not so much because of all the standard things people say, how it increases democracy, etc. Rather I value education because it is fun to learn!  I never want to stop playing this game which is encapsulated in the question, “what don’t I know, and how can I use it once I know it?”  Finally, I value research because it takes us into the world of how things work, and only when we choose to delve deeply can we understand enough to create lasting change for the positive. At the end of the day, I am ALL about positive growth.

I think people would say that my style is energetic, outspoken, but with a great deal of caring and support. Because my mind is active as I seek out all kinds of deeper solutions, I often have something different to say than the people around me. That difference in perspective is useful, as is other people’s opinions are for me. As I grow with years I have become better at listening, and in fact often find that the times I like best are the times I am the most silent. Also, as I have grown older, the energy with which I was born and used to build the first three or four iterations of my life, has become something I need to work at maintaining. The great thing about this is it kicked me into my journey for optimal health, a journey that has taught me that a cellular level that we can really create the lives we want starting from any platform of experience.

As far as the outspokenness goes, I almost can’t help it. I find that I have within me a churning that comes up in the area of my solar plexus when something doesn’t feel quite “right.”  Perhaps you have it too, but for me it creates a tension that cannot be ignored, and I find myself acting, speaking, or in some morning meeting trying to set things back to how my spirit thinks they ought to be.

As I mentioned, my point of view is that we can all do anything. This is perhaps even more true now than it ever has been in the past because there are very few things that we want to do that no one has done. I have been successful in large part because I constantly work a process called action research. There will be lots of places on this website and others where you can go to learn more about this magical process that has us regularly looking at: what we are discovering, the measurable actions we are taking towards our goals, and forcing us to reflect upon both our outer and inner worlds. The one I like best is our sister site: www.ar4everthing.com.  I hope anyone reading this philosophy has intrigued you enough to go find those other resources and that the articles on this site will intrigue you, and help you with your own journey.
